Ribble is on Fire

Preston Barbel Angling Trio Claim, "the Ribble is on Fire".

Local Irish angler Ian 'anglerian' Cooper has provided the Environment Agency with some positive information on the River Ribble in Preston Lancashire,
"The River has seen the return of the otters and large shoals of BIG dace, a great indication that we have a healthy fish filled water system....the Barbel seem to be getting bigger and a large number of smaller 3 lb - 5 lb fish have been showing regularly giving us great prospects for the future...."
Roy 'Royston' Lancaster says,
"What a year, I'm watching the water and air temperatures as i know there is a chance of a record breaker before the season finishes..."
+Barry Cooper is one of the most skilled Barbel anglers in the region and his innovation has payed off with well over 100 barbel from the Preston stretch this season with a large number of doubles. He says,
" The Ribble is on fire this season, It hasn't been as good as this in living memory. The last time it came close was 2005 but the catches this year have been phenomenal"
